The retro round will reward contributions that advance token engineering, user adoption, awareness, and ecosystem growth within the OP and Superchain ecosystems. Grantees can contribute within one of the designated categories, and contributions will be evaluated relative to the project’s phase (PoC, MVP, Fully Integrated).

Tooling

Contributions related to the development or enhancement of tools and libraries that facilitate token engineering within the OP/Superchain ecosystems.

Example contributions:

·  PoC: Developing a prototype tool and gathering feedback from early adopters.

·  MVP: Launching a functional tool and integrating it with ecosystem projects.

·  Fully Integrated: Scaling the tool for broader ecosystem use and driving adoption through partnerships.

Example metrics:

·  Number of users or projects using the tool.

·  Number of integrations with other ecosystem projects.

·  Growth in transactions or smart contract deployments due to the tool’s use.

Expected outcomes:

·  Increased adoption and integration of tools within the OP/Superchain projects.

Research

Contributions aimed at advancing token engineering principles through research, with a focus on generating actionable insights for the ecosystem.

Example contributions:

·  PoC: Drafting and testing a research hypothesis with early validation.

·  MVP: Publishing early findings and engaging ecosystem stakeholders for real-world testing.

·  Fully Integrated: Finalizing research, presenting findings, and developing frameworks for ecosystem-wide use.

Example metrics:

·  Number of research publications shared with the community.

·  Number of projects or teams leveraging the research.

·  Community engagement around research insights (comments, shares, citations).

Expected outcomes:

·  Research findings influencing governance or project decisions.

Education

Contributions focused on developing and delivering educational content, programs, or resources to onboard new participants into the OP ecosystem.

Example contributions:

·  PoC: Creating initial educational content and testing it with a pilot group.

·  MVP: Expanding the educational program and reaching more learners through partnerships.

·  Fully Integrated: Scaling educational content, delivering specialized courses, and measuring long-term learning outcomes.

Example metrics:

·  Number of learners completing the program.

·  Feedback on the clarity and relevance of educational materials.

·  Learner success metrics, such as applying knowledge in real-world projects.

Expected outcomes:

·  Increased community knowledge and growth in trained professionals within the OP ecosystem.

Social Infrastructure

Contributions that focus on improving governance, coordination, or community engagement efforts within the OP/Superchain ecosystems.

Example contributions:

·  PoC: Developing a  governance or community-building framework and testing it with a pilot group.

·  MVP: Scaling initial framework and increasing community participation.

·  Fully Integrated: Driving awareness and long-term participation in governance and community initiatives.

Example metrics:

·  Growth in governance participation (number of voters, decisions made).

·  Community engagement metrics (participation rates, feedback).

·  Number of ecosystem-wide governance improvements or decisions.

Expected outcomes:

·  Improved governance participation and decision-making processes in the OP ecosystem.

Consulting & Other services

Professional services that support other ecosystem projects through consulting, tokenomics optimization, or smart contract audits.

Example contributions:

·  PoC: Providing consulting services to early-stage projects and gathering feedback.

·  MVP: Formalizing services, expanding to more clients, and delivering measurable outcomes.

·  Fully Integrated: Scaling consulting efforts and establishing long-term relationships with ecosystem clients.

Example metrics:

·  Number of clients served and feedback received.
