The retro round is designed to promote transparency, encourage measurable ecosystem growth, and ensure that impactful projects receive funding based on their proven success in driving adoption, awareness, and technical advancements within the OP and Superchain communities. Key goals of this round are:

  1. Drive Ecosystem Growth: Reward projects that have contributed to the adoption and advancement of token engineering within the OP and Superchain ecosystems. This includes increasing the participation of developers, users, and stakeholders.
  2. Reward Proven Impact: Allocate funds based on real, demonstrated outcomes achieved by projects during the retro period. Priority will be given to projects that align with OP’s ecosystem goals.
  3. Highlight the Value of Token Engineering: Showcase the importance of token engineering by recognizing projects that have advanced technical innovation, education, research, and consulting within the ecosystem.
  4. Promote Accountability and Transparency: Ensure that all contributions are documented and reported clearly, with a transparent process for evaluating impact.
